Salience 6 introduces the ability to utilize multiple user directories within a single Salience session. However, this has been implemented in a manner that overrides existing API methods, and as such existing Salience 5.x code should not be affected in terms of API method signatures.
Changes will need to be made to API method calls in order to take advantage of multiple user directories and there are changes to result structures that will affect Salience 5.x code. As with every Salience release, additional options have been implemented to provide control over text analytics functionality provided by Salience.
The following pages provide specific information about differences to account for in upgrading to Salience 6.
- Salience API changes/additions
- Data directory changes/additions
- Salience option changes/additions
